What is an Aging Life Care Manager®?
Also known as a Geriatric Care Manager, is a health and human services specialist who acts as a guide and advocate for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults. The Aging Life Care Manager is educated and experienced in any of several fields related to aging life care / care management, including, but not limited to nursing, gerontology, social work, or psychology, with a specialized focus on issues related to aging and elder care.
The Aging Life Care Manager assists clients in attaining their maximum functional potential. The individual’s independence is encouraged, while safety and security concerns are also addressed. Aging Life Care Managers are able to address a broad range of issues related to the well-being of their client. They also have extensive knowledge about the costs, quality, and availability of resources in their communities.
Aging Life Care Managerare members of the Aging Life Care Association™ (ALCA) and differ from Patient Advocates, Senior Advisors, Senior Navigators, and Elder Advocates. ALCA members must meet stringent education, experience, and certification requirements of the organization, and all members are required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Meet the Founder, Owner, and Operator
Danielle Harris, MSN, BSN, RN, CMC, CDP earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing at Walden University and Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing at USC Upstate. Danielle is a Certified Care Manager, Certified Geriatric Care Manager and a member of the Aging Life Care Association®, Dementia Practitioner, Dementia Specialist, and received Teepa’s (Snow) Positive Approach™ Dementia care training.
Danielle is also a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist.
For the past 14+ years, Danielle has dedicated her career to health and life sciences. She has a passion and calling for aging adults with and without cognitive (brain) impairment (changes) in all settings.
Danielle is a lifelong learner and continues to pursue post-graduate education, to include:
• Certificate in Brain Health, Southern Wesleyan University
• Certificate in Healthy Aging, Southern Wesleyan University
• Certificate in Gerontology, Southern Wesleyan University
• Certificate in End of Life Care, Southern Wesleyan University
• Certificate in Medication Aide Instructor Training, Edgecombe Community College
The focus of Danielle’s work is:
On improving care delivery and support for seniors with and without dementia and their caregivers in whatever setting they may live. She finds joy in “sharing the moment” with people living with dementia.
Danielle is a professionally trained and educated Registered Nurse and Certified Care Manager, who has progressive clinical experience caring for seniors and their families in all settings.
Her mission is to transform aging and changing your well-being, one drop at a time.
Through Evolve Senior Solutions, LLC she offers services, to all caregivers and seniors, that promote holistic aging, aging well, and aging in place.
